Peer Language Partner Activity Guidelines

Peer Language Partner Guidelines

Elementary French/Intermediate French

Automne 2014

Prior to the each oral exam, you are required to schedule and attend at least 1 peer partner session for additional conversation practice.  A list of French speakers on campus (peer partners) will be distributed in class. It is your responsibility to sign up for a peer partner and schedule a time to meet either in person or via Skype/Google Hangout.  After your conversation, please submit a summary of your discussion (in French!) on the Peer Language Activity blog available through the course website.

Elementary French I Topics

Midterm Oral Exam Topic:  (Leçons 1-4): Create a self-portrait, a portrait of a friend, a portrait of a family member, or a portrait of an imaginary monster.  Choose one and describe the person involved.  What is he/she like? What are his/her interests? What does he/she like to do? Try to give as many details as possible.

Final Oral Exam Topic: (Leçons 1-6):  Using the vocabulary from lessons 1-6 in Voilà, describe your hometown.  What is it like? It is in the city or in the countryside? What do you like to do there? What is there? What isn’t there? What do you like (or not) about chez vous? Talk about the typical daily schedule for someone who lives there.
